Pet Policy
Our pet approval process is simple — we just ask a few quick questions to get to know your pet.
A pet fee applies per stay. The fee appears automatically when adding a pet to the reservation, or we can add it via change request.
Hot Tub Fee (Management Fee)
Management Fee = Hot Tub Fee
To keep base rates lower, the hot tub is optional. Because most guests use it, the fee is automatically added.
If you do not plan to use the hot tub, tell us at least two weeks before arrival and we’ll refund the hot tub (management) fee.
A signed waiver is required per insurance. Please follow all hot tub rules listed in the rental agreement and posted at the cabin.

Other Things to Note — Hurricane Helene Update
The area was affected by Hurricane Helene, but the landscape has mostly recovered and things are largely back to normal. Neighborhood roads and most routes to Burnsville and Spruce Pine are repaired and open. Restaurants, attractions, and businesses are operating as usual with only a few exceptions.
Travel notes:
- A section of NC-80 North currently has a detour adding ~10 minutes to most routes
- Expected reopening: Fall 2025 (possibly as early as late October)
- Mount Mitchell State Park remains closed
- Mount Mitchell Golf Course: closed for golf, but grounds open to guests for walking, dog outings, fishing
- Grassy Creek Golf Course is open
- Roan Mountain at Carver’s Gap and many area hiking trails are fully accessible
